On the road again...

Just returning to Oregon from Utah. I've been gone since last Friday and have traveled well over 1600 miles, on the road and who knows how many at the Lagoon and the water park. We spent all day Tuesday at the Lagoon and a ride made me scream. That hasn't happened in a long time. I also went on the SkyCoaster, the one that harnesses you and you swing over the top of everything. You would be really proud, I didn't scream on that one. A little tired so I will keep this short but will give details in other blogs.

Blast from the Past

Here is a blast from the past for Friday Flashback. This picture was taken May 25, 1995. It was my 16th birthday and Mom had taken me to JC Penney to have my pictures taken, kind of like Glamour Shots. The lady asked if I wanted to look 16 or older, I told her 16 she told me too bad. The hat is one that Mom and Dad had gotten me at an auction and the photographer wanted to switch, I should have let him keep it and taken his. His would have been better for everyday wear, although mine did come in handy for halloween. I didn't even recognize the proofs when we were looking at them. The only way I knew it was me was because of the hat. There were some other pictures too but I can't find them to scan. Mom has a big one of me wearing a red feather boa. Makes you wonder what happened in the 11 years since this picture. :)

Wet & Wild Wednesday

Okay, so in Oregon it's always wet and most of the time wild, especially where my family is concerned. Genna and I went to the coast today. God was gracious and it only drizzled where we stopped and rained while we were in the car. We drove down to Florence and went north from there. We made a few stops at some of the state parks and took a few of the trails. I have a feeling I will be feeling it tomorrow. We caught the tide coming in which can be good for some of our stops. We also looked through the shops of Old Town. There was a store that instantly reminded me of the guys back in Montana, it was the Funky Monkey Toy Store. I took pictures and will post them once they are developed. That is if they turn out but most of you know how bad I am with getting pictures to turn out.

Slug Bug, A New Outlook

Okay, so you know the game slug bug? Well, I was riding with my 17 year-old cousin, J.C. and a few friends of his, and they were getting quite inventive. It went from slug bug to cop pop, tow blow, ram bam, cruiser bruiser, and J.C. asking if he could do cow pow. However, considering we were in the country we told him cow pow was off limits. The best part of the night was pulling into his driveway and getting him with the slug bug that is parked in the house I lived my first five years. Yep, you heard me right. The house he lives in is on the same property I grew up on when I was born. The house I lived in however is now a garage. Jimmy parks his land cruiser in what used to be my living room and the bug is parked in what was the spare bedroom. So here is your challenge...think of some other cars and types of hits that I can get him on. Not that I have any problems getting him, but it is fun to have a reason to hit him where he can't hit me back. :)
