Inquiring Minds Want to Know

In answer to questions posed in the comment section.

  1. Yes, I will still be working at Best Western part time. I will work Sunday (a full shift) and Monday-Wednesday from 4:30-11. Believe me I am enjoying life to the fullest. Besides this makes sure I'm getting my exercise instead of sitting and watchin movie marathons. Did I mention that I watched all 5 seasons of Smallville in about 2 months (but minus all the time working it's probably about a weeks worth of time). Yet another thing Cameron did in my life, got me hooked on a show that I really didn't need to be hooked on.
  2. As for the Internet and washer/dryer situation, I would say I get the better end of the deal by far. I mean, after all, he has to put up with me while I'm using all of it. However, he definitely gives his share of stuff back.
  3. Newest hit lines I've heard lately...
  • "So how old are you?...18?" <28,> "Well, I'm 16 and I would have definitely thought you were closer to my age."
  • "When you hear girls you know there's trouble. Do you need me to move so you can belly up to the bar?"
  • "So what name do we look you up under when we come to visit?"

Taking Jackie's Not So Subtle Hint

Sorry...I know it has been a while since I've updated the blog. It tends to happen when you don't have internet, the local libraries are only open during the hours you work, and you work 50+ hours at 2 jobs. Okay, I'm done with the excuses and hopefully done with the long periods between updates. So, here goes.

I GOT A JOB AT THE SCHOOL DISTRICT! Not quite what I wanted but I really think it's going to be a great year. I am enjoying my supervising teacher and the other para that I am working with. We haven't had kids yet, but that will be happening on Tuesday. I will even have a chance to teach a little bit and interact with several of the kids every morning doing Brain Gym. I will be working with 5th & 6th graders. Amazingly enough they are shorter than me.

I would love to say that my apartment is completely put together but it's not. And for those of you who know my cleanliness style, yep, it's the same. I did however spend some time cleaning it today, just so I could mess it up again with cleaning my car and cooking lasagna for Cameron and I. Thanks to him I am able to use his Internet to post this. That is the reason I am hoping there won't be such a span between posts. He is also using my washer and dryer, so no more laundry mat!!!!

I am still working at Best Western at the front desk. It has been fun meeting the people come in and I'm slowly learning the regulars. We had a group of 50+ Harley riders come in the other day. They were a fun group. I have also had lots of people come from Oregon and even know what I was talking about when we spoke about my hometown. Thankfully I only had 2 weekends of night audit (11 p.m.-7 a.m.) shifts. Now I usually do the 3-11 shift.

I went home to Oregon for a very quick weekend with lots of things jammed in. I helped my Mama with her garage sale, took my nephews to the fair, ran into old high school friends, went to my cousins wedding (ran into even more high school friends), had one of them use a classic line for finding out if I was married or not (I had to give him style points, he did it quite well), spent time with another cousin who leaves for boot on the 4th, and spent lots of time with my Mama, nephews, and Lauren. It was a good trip even though it was short.

Okay, so that's my life in a nutshell right now. Sorry there aren't any new pictures yet, I'll try to remember those tomorrow. Lots of love!

Sleepy time...

The guys decided they needed a nap after helping me move in and after we treated ourselves to DQ!
"Don't flash me!"
He hates it when he doesn't have a chance to pose first.
"What?" Cammy J. talks in his sleep :)
"ZZZZ" Adam just snores...loud...I take both as a complement, it means my furniture is comfy and they trust me enough to sleep even when they know there is a camera in the house.

During the move...

Getting Settled!

Thanks to Cameron, Summer, and Adam I am all moved in and am slowly getting my apartment organized! It was fun moving in with lots of laughs and only a little bit of pain (mainly because I dropped my bed on my foot). The neighbors are very friendly and the apartment is close to several schools. I don't have a teaching position yet, but I did find a full time job for the summer that I will be able to drop to part time when school starts. I will be working at the front desk of a hotel in Whitefish. After moving everything into the apartment the boys took a nap and Summer and I put some things in order. Saturday night we enjoyed a night at the races. There were several accidents so we left at 11:10 before it was complete but we had fun just the same. Summer and Adam stayed until Sunday afternoon and helped me put my table and chairs together for my dining room. Summer took some pictures during the move in and I will take some more when I am finished putting it all together. Pictures to come!!!
