Prayer Request

Ever have that pain that almost sends you to your knees? On the way to Oregon I had some back spasms originating from a pinched nerve in my lower back. After getting to Oregon it slowly stretched and was doing good. Yesterday I think I must have overdone myself because the nerve is letting me know it is pinched again. Please pray for the pain to disappear, I like being able to stand and sit without a shooting pain. :)

Swing Batter

A joy of my life is getting to watch my nephew play baseball. I have had the chance to watch two of his games this year. It is so much fun to watch and cheer for him. I wish I had pictures to share but I keep forgetting the camera. He is quite the hitter and plays both catcher and pitcher. He wears the gear and everything. It's amazing how fast he is growing up.

Up & Down, Round & Round

Nope, I'm not talking about a Merry-go-round. That would be my head. Living with Vertigo isn't what I would call the ride of my life, however it is something that I am starting to get used to, especially on trips to Oregon. It kind of feels like living in an elevator and walking with one leg shorter than the other. Well I do have one leg shorter than the other but not that anybody would notice. Vertigo makes it seem considerably shorter. You know, like when you step off a step you weren't expecting. The benefit is getting to stay still a lot and reading. I've ready 3 of the 4 books I have brought with me and have started the 4th. Looks like I should have brought the whole 7 book series. Anybody have any suggests as what to read next?

Always Eventful

So I have been in Oregon less then a week and it already has been very eventful. The first event happened while flying here. My back decided it was going to start spasming and didn't stop until Saturday evening. Even muscle relaxers didn't help, although it knocked me out for about 2 hours. Saturday afternoon I went to Johnny's 7th birthday party at the bowling alley, however because of my back I didn't get to bowl and left early. That night we went to Junction City for the cruise they were having. I got to ride with my uncle Bruce in his '52 Dodge Army vehicle. It looks like the vehicles you see in movies transporting soldiers without the soft cover top. I rode in that all night and had a blast. We had people saluting Bruce and lots of thank yous and cheers. My cousin drove their 55 BelAir so we passed him a few times and every kid in the truck with us would yell his name. Sunday was relatively peaceful and uneventful. I went to church with my uncle and cousin, had lunch and spent the afternoon with Mama making cards for Troy (my brother-in-law in Iraq) and then visited with a family I haven't seen for many years. We won't go into detail for how long because that would really age me. Yesterday was different story as far as events go. Genna and I were shopping and had just walked out to the car. My aunt called and said that my uncle was in the hospital getting ready to go into surgery for a work related injury. Genna and I hightailed it to the ER and we were able to see him about an hour after we got there. He is doing fine and went home last night. Thank God!! I love how He watches over my family! After leaving the hospital Genna dropped me off at Mom's work and we went to Johnny's baseball game. Him and Travis have grown so much. Mama and I returned home and I put a puzzle together until about 12:30. It's still not finished but hopefully today. I hope everybody is enjoying their summer!

Flying Out

I fly out tomorrow to spend a month in Oregon and Utah. I am looking forward to seeing my family. I am also looking toward spending time with Mom because the last couple of trips was really limited. I can't wait to go to the beach too. That is something we don't have in Montana. However the little creeks and rivers are wonderful here. have a wonderful summer!!!
